Oh my goodness.. it’s been a whirlwind over here, most recently with Carry on Crafting which was SO much fun!!
Its a bit of a trek from us but absolutely worth it, and we loved camping over! The food was amazing, we sat out on a night chatting to others stopping over, and had the best time putting faces to names and meeting so many of you wonderful lot in person. Believe it or not, me and Rich are really shy so its always really nerve wracking doing things like this for us. The atmosphere though was so lovely and friendly that it was impossible not to feel comfortable. HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us, we really do appreciate it so so much.
There wasn’t much time to have wander and the days flew, but I did manage to sneak off a few times. Whilst there, we got chatting to our fabulous neighbour Lyndsey (Crafting with Lyndsey) who makes these amazing kits. Naturally I had to have one and it had to be these gorgeous blues and greens to go on my craft room wall – I’ll share another pic when its in place. I was going to post some lovely pictures of the kit itself, but I opened it, couldn’t resist trying it, and now have a completed weaving!! I have never tried weaving before but loved it and now have lots of ideas for more projects!
I also can’t resist glass. I had the fish (along with a recycled garden decoration which is beautiful, but too tall to fit on a photo!) from Mandy at Morphed By Mandy and its just so lovely. The feather glass piece is from Louise at Craft Days Glass, and I love it because I find feathers *all* the time and like to think they’re from my mum. I don’t have a photo as its currently working its magic with alcohol, but I had a Fruitology jar that you just add alcohol too and it infuses – it looks amazing, I’ll update following a taste test when its ready! Our neighbours the other side (Little Bird Creations Kent) were so lovely too, and they ran classes painting peg people. I had the best time watching what people came up with, they all looked amazing! So of course I had to buy a set as although I’d love to paint them, I think my boys might love to even more.
And here is the blanket I was working on whilst chatting away at the weekend. Its getting there now, just working on the border which is a bit of a slow process but it will get there.
The other great thing to come out of the weekend was lots of new ideas. We absolutely love working with others to come up with items that meet their needs – so watch this space as you will hopefully be seeing our items in a few new places soon! We also have lots of ideas for our own things too (including Christmas-y things if I dare to mention it already in July!!), so lots to keep us busy. Huge thanks to you all as always xxx
